From the music to the presentation space to the colors, Augustin Teboul‘s AW 14/15 collection entitled “Equinoxe” let in considerably more light. Notorious for its devotion to black, the label’s foray into nude colored pieces reflects the designers’ fascination this season with creating garments that can be worn as a second skin. In one breathtaking collection, the designer duo explored the visual and tactile possibilities of this feat with an array of knitted and beaded patterns on fluid and skin tight fabrics. Crocheted ripples, crystal clusters, beaded masks and geometric trimmings resembled reptilian-like sheaths and shells.

The benefit of having a minimal color palette, is the room it allows for the experimentation with textures and fabric compositions. With their latest collection, the duo managed to harmonize leather, knits, lace, velvet, silk, and quite unexpectedly, neoprene, producing yet another atemporal collection stunning in its complexities and opulence. From the smooth touch of silk and lace to the textural beading of crystals and knits, Annelie Augustin and Odély Teboul executed 20 looks with elaborate elegance. Each season, you can count on their collections to transport you to a fantastically divergent world where fashion is poetic and surreal.
