The making of an Œditorial

CAROL

Putting a whole magazine together takes up a lot of time and creativity, no question. When the day finally arrives and we get our hands on the first copy, sweat and tears are dried for good. Filled with love, pride and happiness, we delight in the outcome nestled in our hands.

Issue no. 6 of ΠMagazine is by far our biggest issue yet and features some of the most exciting techniques when it comes to the finishing of a magazine.

The more I think about it, the more it gets me: I am part of “Master of my Universe”. Goose bumps. To not deprive you of this experience, I’m taking you back to the shooting of “Carol”–a fashion story created by photographer Hermano Silva and stylist Phuong Lam, which was shot in 4 different locations, including the wonderful Cafe Vilja. I not only assisted with the styling, but also tried to capture the backstage mood for you wonderful readers.

Model Valentina Balleza and actor Christian Wewerka were our leading actors in this 60s cinema inspired editorial. We want you to imagine the scene yourself, figure out what happened and what will happen. Give your thoughts some room to breathe and enjoy!

Check out some behind the scenes images we saved for you and follow us into our world of beauty and subversion:
