There is a new concept store in town! Lately the center of Berlin is getting filled with big international brands, so it’s always nice to see a new concept store brightening up the scene. The Optimistic Store opened a year ago at Brunnenstraße, but has recently located to Rochstraße 17. With Wood Wood and other nice shops neighboring the boutique, this street is getting more and more interesting every time I find myself in this part of Mitte. It is apparent, even with a quick glance through the shop, that owner Nathalie loves nice and exclusive things. And it is out of love for such that the Optimistic Store was born. “I started with importing soap I always used in France.”
The Optimistic store has a small selection with fashion labels for women and men from young German and French designers like Zookie, Emilie Casiez, Beadleg,Margaux Lonnberg, and Lauren Victoria Craig. The shop is partly filled with design objects, beauty products, leather goods, magazines, books, jewelry and a lot of other fun goodies. For shoppers outside of Berlin, you can get a hold of their prized goods through their webshop. However, if you’re in the area, I highly recommend you stop by and if you’re lucky, you just might get your hands on a crêpe at one of the crêpe parties.
